CATSKILL OUTBACK STAFF

CRAIG APOLITO - A Certified New York State Paramedic, with a degree in Biology. He has taken courses through Project Adventure in low & high ropes. Craig has worked for Mohonk Preserve as a ranger, Assistant Youth Director for the YMCA leading youth on a variety of teambuilding, and outdoor adventuring programs. He has also worked with At - Risk youth in programs focused on Attention Deficit Disorder, emotionally disturbed. Craig is a New York State licensed guide. He has lived in the Catskill Mountain region for the past 25 years learning it history, legends, and terrain; he has done extensive traveling and is an avid outdoorsman.

DAMON GREENE - New York State Licensed Fishing & Canoeing guide, has lived in the Catskills for over 15 years. Experienced in all sorts of freshwater fishing, he enjoys his leisure time casting into one of the Catskills world-famous fishing spots enjoying the challenge of the ever finicky Rainbow Trout down to the voracious battle of the Large Mouth Bass. Let Damon instruct you on learning to gracefully fly fish, or let him guide you to some of the most secretive and best fishing holes in The Catskills.

KWAME WIAFE AKENTEN JR. - A resident of the Ulster county area. He has worked as a counselor with after school programs. He has also worked as an advisor for a teen community service club and a counselor in a program focusing on Attention Deficit Disorder. He was also involved during the summer months working with a day camp. Throughout all of these programs he has worked with teambuilding utilizing New Games and low rope activities. He is presently working with emotionally disturbed youth in a residential treatment center.
